Penn State New Kensington Hires New Golf Coach
Tom Crombie, a Class A PGA Professional currently working at the Stoney Creek Golf Center, has agreed to become the Head Coach of the Penn State New Kensington Coed Golf Team for the 2013 season.
"Tom is a great addition to our department," stated Penn State New Kensington Athletic Director David Murray. "His long history of teaching the game will help our golfers improve their skills, and his PGA Professional status should help our program with recruiting."
Crombie played college golf at Robert Morris University before becoming a PGA Professional. Over the course of his career he has worked at a multitude of golf centers and country clubs offering private lessons and golf instruction. Crombie is excited to have his own team to work with and said, "I've always had a desire to coach, and I look forward to helping the kids on our team become better players this upcoming season."
