Two PSNK Softball Players Pick Up Weekly Awards

Junior, Tarra Oravec has been named the PSUAC Pitcher of the Week. Oravec had a record of 2-1 in 3 games pitched. She started two games and came in for relief in the other. In 18.1 innings pitched, Oravec gave up 14 hits, walked 6 and struckout 19 while allowing only 2 earned runs. In 3 conference games pitched, Oravec is 2-1 with a 0.76 ERA.

Freshman, Rachel Lojas was named the PSUAC Player of the Week. Lojas plays catcher for Penn State New Kensington. In four games Lojas had a .533 batting average going 8 for 15. She had 4 extra base hits; 2 doubles, a triple and a homerun. She added 4 RBI, while scoring 7 of the Lady Lions 21 runs this week. Lojas also had the game winning RBI single in the bottom of the 8th inning to give New Kensington a 4-3 victory vs. PS Beaver.
