Penn State New Kensington Battles to Road Draw at Christendom
Penn State New Kensington earned a hard-fought 0–0 draw on the road against Christendom College on Wednesday afternoon. The Lions controlled much of the play, generating consistent attacking pressure throughout the match.
New Kensington outshot Christendom 19–8, including a 9–4 advantage in shots on goal. Sophomore goalkeeper Kenton Knox was solid between the posts, recording four saves to secure the clean sheet. Offensively, Jayson Ireland led the Lions with eight shots, while Luke Guerrini and James Duncan each added multiple efforts on target as the team pressed for a late winner.
Defensively, New Kensington remained composed, limiting Christendom's opportunities and clearing danger when called upon. The result marks another strong performance on the road for the Lions as they continue PSUAC and USCAA play this fall.
