Balanced Attack Lifts New Kensington to 11–1 Win at Hazleton
Penn State New Kensington women's soccer put together one of their most complete performances of the season Sunday afternoon, cruising to an 11–1 PSUAC road victory over Penn State Hazleton.
The Lions controlled the tempo from the opening whistle, with Bella Oskin opening the scoring midway through the first half before assisting Samara Ayodele to double the advantage. Andi Householder added a third before halftime to send New Kensington into the break up 3–0.
The visitors poured it on in the second half, highlighted by a dominant stretch that saw Helana Hagner record a quickfire hat trick and Oskin complete one of her own with three total goals and two assists. Ayodele also struck twice and assisted once, while Angelia Ferriola added a goal and assist to round out a well-balanced team display.
In goal, Dana Barczykowski remained steady, making three saves to anchor a defense that allowed just seven shots all game.
New Kensington outshot Hazleton 37–7 and earned eight corner kicks, showcasing their depth and attacking creativity across the field.
